Youth Programs

Day Camps


Day Camps run from 9am to 4:30pm Moday to Friday. The camps will focus on learning kayak and canoeing skills and water saftey skills. There will also be off water activites. Lunchtime is supervised but lunch is not provided. Includes all equipment and fully certified coaches.

Youth Learn-to Kayak


A two week program offered in order to teach basic kayak skills, water safety and an appreciation for spending time on the water. Program includes 6 one and one half hour sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday over a two week period. Includes all equipment and fully certified coaches.

Developmental Group


A program for kids who have completed their "Learn To" and wish to continue paddling for the rest of the summer. This program continues to develop paddling skills in single and team boats, as well as offering opportinuties to compete at provincial regattas.

Winter Training


This program is for athletes who wish to continue sport specific training throughout the winter. Training involves swimming, running, stretching, strength training, gymnastics and soccer. The program runs from October until May, and involves 5-8 training sessions/week.

Adult Programs

Masters


The masters program is aimed at people who have completed the two week learn to and wish to continue paddling throughout the summer. This program continues to develop paddling skills in single and team boats, as well as offering opportunities to compete. Masters meet three times per week at times that are the most convenient for the group.

This program is for individuals who have completed the learn to and wish to continue paddling on their own. The program offers access to the club and use of certain boats at most times during the day.
