Rob Sleeth
Head Coach

SRCC's Head Coach, Rob Sleeth, was hired in April 2017.  He is NCCP Level 5 certified with the ChPC (Chartered Professional Coach) designation. 

Rob led Canada's National Team program from 1985 to 1999 and coached five Canadian Olympic Teams between 1980 and 1996. Prior to joining SRCC Rob worked as a Senior Podium Coach in Great Britain where he worked with the Women's Kayak Team in preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics. 

In 2023, Rob received the 2023 Coach Dedication Award from Sask Sports. We are thankful for Rob's involvement in running SRCC and developing our athletes.  Congratulations Rob!

Dominic Tarasoff
Developmental Coach

Dominic has been working with SRCC’s Developmental group since 2023. He is NCCP Comp Dev. trained and ELCC certified, bringing a strong foundation of coaching knowledge to the club. In addition to his work with young athletes, Dominic has played a key role in reviving SRCC’s Masters program, which he currently leads.

As a former SRCC athlete, Dominic brings firsthand competitive experience to his coaching. He represented the club at Nationals from 2019 to 2023 and competed at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. His combined experience as an athlete and coach allows him to connect deeply with paddlers of all levels.

Jayden Hingley
Assistant Developmental Coach

Jayden is a part-time coach with SRCC, working closely with our Developmental group. His passion for teaching shines through in every session. Jayden has completed ELCC coaching courses, strengthening his knowledge and leadership in the sport.

A former SRCC athlete, Jayden brings valuable experience to the coaching team. He has competed at the national level, earning medals in sprint canoe events, including during his time with the Wascana Racing Canoe Club. His expertise in canoeing and his approachable, encouraging style make him an asset to both athletes and fellow coaches alike.

Jill Hingley
Lead Day Camp Coach

Jill joined SRCC's coaching staff as an assistant coach for the day camps in 2023. Her initiative, positive attitude, and dedication to the sport quickly set her apart. Thanks to her strong leadership and commitment, Jill has been selected as the lead day camp coach for this season.

Jill brings energy, organization, and a genuine love for working with young paddlers to every session. Her focus on fun, safety, and skill development makes her a fantastic role model for campers and a valuable member of the coaching team.

Jovana Raicevic
Day Camp Coach

Jovana is joining SRCC for her first season in 2025, bringing with her a strong background in coaching from swimming. Her passion for working with kids and helping them grow has been evident throughout her coaching journey.

We’re excited and fortunate to have Jovana on board this year. With her enthusiasm and strong coaching foundation, we’re confident she’ll thrive in the paddling environment. Her fresh perspective and dedication make her a great addition to the SRCC coaching team.

Ben Syroishka
Day Camp Coach

Ben has been a reliable part-time coach with SRCC’s day camp program for several years now. As a current athlete, he demonstrates strong dedication and  passion by contributing to the club in multiple roles.

Ben has proven himself to be a valuable member of the day camp team, consistently bringing valuable experience and a positive attitude each day. We’re excited to have him back and look forward to seeing him succeed in the role once again this season.
